My passion

My ideas come into my head like someone popping a balloon. It's instantenous and usually leaves me startled. The idea, however, usually doesn't become a reality until I see or watch someone do something. I've had the idea for a while now, that I wanted to change this blog. I wanted it to become something more...personal. Now, I'm not saying that it isn't personal already. But, I wanted to turn it into something that would drive me to come to it everyday. A few days ago I stumbled apon a new blog that my friend had recently created. It's a blog dedicated to the recipes and creations that she loves to make. I instantly thought she was a genious. She had created something that I had wanted to do for so long. She had created a blog that was dedicated to something that she loved. She set something within me ablaze that had been dying to be lit for sometime. Becky, you're my inspiration.

In my last post, forallofmyfoodies, I illustrated how much I love food. I told you that I had a desire to know everything there was to know about food. And, if I didn't I meant too. I've decided that, with the inspiration coming from my friend, that I was going to turn this blog into one of those random food blogs you see pop up every now and then. It's not going to be solely dedicated to recipes and things that I cook. I love the mere thought of food. I love the idea of watching a tiny pepper seed turn into a jalapeno plant full of juicy jalapenos. I love knowing the uses of rosemary and why saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. Which is pretty interesting if you ask me! I love seeing miles of grain fields and knowing that sometime, I'm going to be buying bread where the wheat came from a field just like that. This is going to be my food blog. It's going to be dedicated to all things food. The good, the bad, and the disgusting.

That being said though, I do have a life outside of this passion. I have a little baby girl on the way and a wonderful wife to talk about. I'm not giving up on what I consider to be the two most important things in my life. You'll still receive the occasional update from me about the baby, whose name is Paige, and my wonderful wife, who needs to add more of her own updates to this blog.

if you want to practice making food then blogging about it like on Julie and Julia then I'd be happy to be your taste tester. *hint hint*
