A world of pure imagination

I'm not quite sure what book I should write on this week. I'm caught up in a lot of things and haven't had a moment to think about a certain book that has inspired me. Today, I think I'm going to write on books in general

Books bring imagination to life. Everyone has heard the song "Pure imagination", which was sung in Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory. If you listen to that song and apply it to books than you'll know what I'm talking about. Every story that you read and every page that you turn takes you to a new world that you can't find anywhere else. It brings to life the possibility for anything to happen. Movies, which at times try to replicate stories, never do them justice. Books are in a class of their own and nothing can top them.

Many places will gladly recommend books that you must read before you die. My personal opinion is that you don't need someone you don't know telling you how to use your imagination. Every book on every shelf in every library and bookstore is worth reading. Every book is an experience that you'll only have if you open it up. If you have yet to find an interest in books don't give up. I once enjoyed watching paint dry more than I did reading. It took many years before I found that one book that changed my whole perspective on the reading world.
