An update and something new.

This is just going to be an update blog.  If you aren't interested in finding out what has happened in my life since June 23rd (the last time I wrote) then you are invited to leave.

Melissa had a terrible third trimester.  By the time that our youngest was born she was doing everything that she could think of to get him out.  He was born on August 8th.  His name is Preston Adam.  Apparently he looks just like me.  I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

We didn't really do much after having Preston....oh wait!  Ten days after he was born Melissa received a phone call saying that she needed to be in Texas in two days.  We pleaded for parents to watch our two oldest children and took our ten day old on a 27 hour drive down to San Antonio.  Melissa had an interview with a company that she thought was professional.  She thought it was going to be an amazing opportunity that we just couldn't pass up.  When we got down there we hated it.  It was crowded, unsafe, and sketchy.  Melissa didn't get the job.  She also found out that it wasn't a place that she wanted to work which helped her when she didn't get it.  It turned out to be a very unprofessional job, doing something that the job description didn't even mention.

If you remember correctly, I informed everyone that I was admitted into the Culinary Arts program at the Culinary Institute of America.  It was a dream come true, as I have always wanted to cook.  I was gearing up to move my family down to Texas, where the school was located.  We were saving every penny that we could, just to move.  I was looking forward to honing my skills.  Well, to make a long story short, I'm not going anymore.  When we were driving home from San Antonio, after a long journey there, Melissa and I had a long talk about whether it was a place that we actually wanted to be.  We decided that it would be best not to move to TX at that moment.  This led to a lot of questions.  I need to finish school, so where am I going to go?  Where will we move, because we know we need to leave the situation that we are in?  When do we want to move?  Will we both get jobs?  A lot questions that 27 hours in the car on the way home answered.  We will get to that in a moment.

Not a lot happened from the moment we got home until now.  Paige had her birthday and loved it.  On Halloween, Paige dressed as a witch, Parker a dragon, and Preston was a teddy bear.  We didn't do much for thanksgiving, and Christmas was very crowded, as we only live in a one bedroom apartment and have enough crap in our home for five people.

In December Melissa started having an extreme amount of pain in her stomach.  We went to the doctor and found out that she had over 50 gall stones in her gallbladder.  She had her gallbladder out a week before Christmas.  She was such a champ.  She was back on her feet after two days.

This leads me to those questions that Melissa and I asked ourselves on the way home from Texas.  We have decided that we are going to move back to the place where it all began.  We are moving to Logan, UT.  I reapplied to school at USU, I got back in to start in January but had to set it back until the fall.  This was due to the emergency surgery that Melissa had.  However, we are moving up there as soon as we can.  Melissa just got a job in Logan and I'm looking for one.

Now, to end this post I want to tell everyone something that I'm going to do starting in the new year.  Everyday, for 365 days, I'm going to post a picture of myself in some way.  DON'T worry, they will all be kid friendly.  Who do you think I am, a slut!?!?  I know, you wouldn't put it past me.  I'm doing this because I plan on going through a lot of changes next year and I want to have somewhere to document it.

You have all be thoroughly updated.  I'll see you next year.
